Evinrude and Johnson Outboards

Amalgamated With the Canadian Company 'Bombadier Recreational Products'.

Originally independant companies, Evinrude and Johnson became assets of the OMC company. In turn, because of the bankruptcy of OMC both marques joined the Canadian company 'Bombadier RP'. BRP's founder was the inventer of the first tracked vehicle for transportation as far back as 1937. They've done far more since then though, most notable was the 'Ski-Doo' and the massively successful 'Sea-Doo' first introduced as far back as 1968. Prior to aquiring Evinrude and Johnson they had already entered into a technological association with Mercury Marine to equip 4.8 metre (16ft) and longer 'Sea-Doo's' with the high performance M2 Jet drives.
